Sewer & Dump
The Aurora 16BHX has two waste tanks: gray water (sinks and shower) and black water (toilet). Both drain through a single 3-inch sewer outlet on the driver’s side.
What you need
Section titled “What you need”- Sewer hose (at least 20 ft — stored in the bumper)
- Sewer hose support/slinky (keeps hose elevated for proper flow)
- Rubber gloves
- Sewer donut / seal (fits into the campsite sewer inlet)
Full hookup (sewer at site)
Section titled “Full hookup (sewer at site)”Connecting
Section titled “Connecting”- Put on gloves.
- Remove the sewer hose from the bumper storage.
- Connect one end to the camper’s 3-inch sewer outlet (twist and lock).
- Run the hose to the campsite sewer inlet — use the hose support to keep it sloped downhill.
- Insert the sewer donut into the campsite inlet and push the hose end in.
- Leave the gray valve closed and black valve closed until dumping.
Dumping
Section titled “Dumping”- Pull the black tank handle (usually black) — let it drain completely.
- Close the black tank valve.
- Pull the gray tank handle (usually gray) — let it drain.
- Close the gray tank valve.
- Flush the black tank if you have a tank flush port (connect a hose, open valve, run water for 2–3 minutes).
Disconnecting
Section titled “Disconnecting”- Close both valves.
- Remove the hose from the campsite inlet.
- Rinse the hose with a dedicated rinse hose.
- Cap the camper sewer outlet.
- Store the hose in the bumper.
Dump station (no sewer hookup)
Section titled “Dump station (no sewer hookup)”When leaving a site without sewer hookup, use a dump station.
- Drive to the dump station.
- Connect the sewer hose to the camper outlet and into the dump station inlet.
- Dump black tank, then gray tank (same order as above).
- Use the dump station’s rinse water to flush the hose.
- Rinse the black tank if possible.
Tank treatments
Section titled “Tank treatments”Add RV black tank treatment after every dump:
- Pour 1 packet or 4 oz of liquid treatment into the toilet with 2 gallons of water.
- This breaks down waste and controls odor.
- Use RV-safe toilet paper only — it dissolves quickly.
Tank level monitor
Section titled “Tank level monitor”Check the control panel for tank levels:
- Dump black tank at 3/4 full (don’t wait for full — it gets harder to dump, and you need enough liquid to flush waste out properly).
- Gray tank can go to full before dumping.
